This will be a quick one, as I don’t have a ton to report and I’ve been working on getting Reliance 1 out asap. I start revisions NEXT WEEK. Eep! O.O
That being said, I finally finished the cover and I LOVE IT. It’s definitely my favorite cover thus far:
And now I’m more excited than ever to get the book finished. IT’S SO GOOD YOU GUYS! 😀 😀 😀
Sleep has been happening again, thankfully. It seemed as soon as I decided to slow my roll a bit and focus on only one book at a time instead of, yanno, seven, I was able to relax enough to stay asleep throughout most of the night. So the moral of the story is: Stop stressin’ yourself out, yo.
So Imma stop stressin’ y’all. You see me stressin’ on this here blog, Readers and fellow Word Wranglers, you have my explicit permission to throw things at me.
The whole situation with my off-kilter sleep cycles has got me thinking a lot about control–what you can control, what you can’t, etc. But that’s another, longer blog post, possibly for my Insecure Writers Support Group post next month.
When I get all stressed out like that, I usually have to check myself and prompt my creative brain to remember what it’s like to write simply for the sheer, unfettered joy of it.
It seems I’ve been learning, or rather relearning, some things lately. And it’s helped a LOT. Strangely, this has all come about from rediscovering my passion for theatre.
So that’s me this week–finishing a book I’m sooper-dooper excited about and having a blast whilst so doing.
What have you guys been up to?
